DESCRIPTION: This premier recreational facility in North Jersey was completed in 1994. SCE was retained early in the project planning phase to provide conceptual site evaluation services. Once the site was determined to be acceptable for development of the minor league stadium, SCE initiated the site engineering and planning services necessary for local, county and state approvals.
This work included performing site surveying, developing detailed site plans and specifications for facility parking, access, stormwater management, site lighting, pedestrian access and facility grading. Administrative services performed by SCE assisted in the success of the projected and included project scheduling and design team coordination.
The entire site planning process was managed by SCE, resulting in obtaining all necessary permits for the $12,000,000 facility within eighteen months. Application packages and professional testimony were provided to secure permits from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection – Stream Encroachment and Freshwater Wetland Bureau, Sussex County Soil Conservation District – Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Certification and Stormwater Discharge Permit – RFA, Sussex County – Minor Subdivision, Access and Site Plan, Township of Frankford – Minor Subdivision, Preliminary and Final Site Plan, Conditional Use Permit and Developer’s Agreement. SCE is the consultant to this development group for a planned enclosed ice hockey facility for a minor league hockey team.
